Non-Self-Supporting Ladders
Non-self-supporting ladders must be leaned against a solid structure for support. They cannot stand alone. The support structure used must be strong enough to support the weight of the ladder, the worker, and any tools or materials being used by the worker on the ladder. Non-self-supporting ladders include straight ladders and extension ladders.
