Black Widows Bites
Black widow bites can either be very painful or go unnoticed. Local swelling at the bite site can occur, followed by pain radiating from it. The victim may experience some of the following symptoms:
- nausea
- body aches
- cramping or rigidity in the stomach muscles
- profuse sweating
- labored breathing
- tremors
- elevated blood pressure
- fever
Pain can last between 8 to 12 hours from the bite, and symptoms can continue for days. Bites are serious and should be treated by a medical professional as soon as possible.
