If Bitten or Stung
If you are bitten by a mosquito, you can apply an anti-itch cream or spray. Be aware of any symptoms that may occur other than redness or itchiness.
If attacked by fire ants, do not move rapidly. More ants could attack. Move away and calmly brush or rinse them off. You can wash the area with soap and water. Leave the blisters intact. A cold compress and anti-itch cream or spray can help.
If you disturb a bee hive or are attacked by a swarm of bees, get indoors as fast as possible or find any kind of covering, especially for your head and face; do not flail around or jump into water. Brush off the bees that are still on you. A bee can only sting once.
If stung, gently brush off the stinger with a fingernail or thin object, such as a credit card or paper. Apply a cold compress to the stung area. If stung repeatedly (15 or more times), or if there are symptoms other than pain and swelling, seek immediate medical attention.
