Insects & Arachnids
Insects and arachnids (spiders) are groups of animals with jointed limbs, segmented bodies, and a hard exoskeleton. They live in all types of environments around the world.
Insects that can pose as hazards include ants, mosquitoes, wasps, and bees. Arachnids that cause harm to people include spiders, ticks, and scorpions.
Most bites and stings from insects and arachnids result in minor injuries such as redness, swelling, itching, and pain. However, in some cases, they can cause allergic reactions in people.
