Spider Bites
Spiders are venomous, meaning they inject toxins through their bite. You can get bitten by just about any type of spider, but most types only produce a mild reaction.
However, black widows and brown recluses are to species in the United States that are highly venomous.
Many spiders like to live in dark, out of the way places in buildings and outdoors. Some work environments are often perfect habitats for spiders because there are warehouses, storage closets, stacks of boxes, and other areas that are minimally used.
For certain types of tasks, workers can come into contact with locations that are perfect spider habitats. Workers who must reach or crawl into such places, or who move boxes or materials that have sat for some time may be exposed to potential spider bites.
