Hazards - Hearing

In certain work environments, you will be required to wear hearing protection because noise levels exceed established OSHA standards.

A general rule of thumb is that if you cannot have a normal conversation with someone about three feet away, you probably need hearing protection.

Check with your supervisor about hearing protection requirements for your site. Your employer will have a hearing conversation program depending on noise levels.
