PPE Working Near Water

Working near water, there is a potential hazard for drowning. As part of your protective gear, you might need to wear a life jacket or Personal Floatation Device (PFD).

You will also need to understand other potential hazards of working on water, such as trip hazards, marine life (sharks, jellyfish, rays), boats and maritime vehicles, heat stress, sunburn, and other hazards.

Refer to the Compliance Training Online® courses on Drowning Hazards and Vehicle Hazards, which covers land vehicles along with boats.
