Exposure to High Noise

Exposure to high noise levels can result in irreversible hearing loss or impairment, and or physical and psychological stress.

Employers will conduct noise level monitoring around the workplace to determine if hearing protection is required and if so what type.

If engineering solutions and administrative or work practice controls do not lower employee noise exposure, then the employer must provide employees with appropriate hearing protection PPE.
