Hands and Arm Protection
Hand and arm protection takes different forms: gloves, finger guards, arm sleeves, wristlets, and so on. We will focus on gloves, the most common hand protection.
Gloves can protect against hazards such as:
- Burns (chemical and thermal)
- Bruises
- Abrasions and cuts
- Punctures and penetration
- Fractures and impact
- Amputations
- Chemical exposures
- Temperatures (extremes)
- Shock
Body protection can include arms (and legs).
