Contaminated Water
In near drowning situations, if the water from which the victim is removed is contaminated with biological and or chemical substances (or is itself a potentially hazardous fluid), additional hazards can be posed which result in various health issues.
Certain work environments present potential drowning hazards, including vats, tanks, retaining ponds, pools, canals and ditches, and confined spaces (such as sewers).
