Hoists & Balancers
Hoists and balancers are portable devices that are used to lift and position heavy objects or tools over a work area. The use of hoists and balancers can reduce the amount of force required to move objects, and can reduce the fatigue that workers experience from frequent lifting.
Hoists and balancers are easy to set up at locations where a crane is not installed, and a variety of attachments are available to lift different objects. Many makes and models of hoists and balancers, including spring-loaded, pneumatic, electric, or computer-controlled, are commercially available. Make sure that the hoists or balancers are rated for the correct load weight.
