Providing Management Support

Strong management support is critical for the overall success of an ergonomics process. Implementation of an effective ergonomics process requires a sustained effort, the coordination of activities, and adequate resources.

OSHA recommends that shipyards develop clear goals for the ergonomics process, discuss the goals with the employees, assign responsibilities to designated staff members to achieve those goals, and provide feedback to employees.
