Controls
Controls are measures or procedures used to minimize the risk of hazards. Administrative controls are the measures that form the infrastructure of a laser safety program and may include the appointment and performance criteria for the LSO, policies, audits, reporting, and educational requirements. Engineering controls are safety features incorporated into an HCLS or designed into its installation. They require verification by the LSO.
