Employer - Regulations

It is the responsibility of the employer to provide all employees with the appropriate equipment to carry out assigned work. This includes providing the correct lift truck for a task. The employer is also responsible for staying up to date on regulations concerning lift trucks and their operation. As far as reasonably practicable, the employer must ensure that all regulations are adhered to in the workplace. The consequences of not following workplace regulations range from a monetary fine or work site closure to serious or fatal injury to workers.
