Safe Operating Procedures - Additional Site & Situation Specific Safety

It is always necessary for workers to follow the regulations outlined by the OHS, CSA, and ANSI organizations. However, no two work sites are the same. It is often necessary for employees to undergo additional training or take additional safety precautions based on the specific activity and materials present at a work site.

Even if there are no site-specific safety regulations, sometimes a task will require special procedures or equipment. It is the responsibility of the employer and site manager to ensure that every employee involved in a task receives proper site- and situation-specific safety instruction.
