Supervisor - Training

The supervisor at the work site is responsible for ensuring that all workers using lift trucks have received proper training. The supervisor can be chosen by the employer to conduct safety training courses for other employees. In order to be qualified to conduct training, a worker must have five years of experience in his or her field and have completed training courses specific to it.

Even if the supervisor did not conduct the initial safety training, he or she often delivers on-site training and is therefore expected to be up to date on all training topics and materials, especially those concerning site- or situation-specific safety.
