Once an effective control program plan, including hazardous energy control, has been drafted, it must be communicated to all employees. Staff should be trained on how the program works and their role and responsibilities.

The comprehensive list of tasks, hazards, and controls should be made available to all employees. This provides both a management record and a source of important information for supervisors and employees. If a new machine or system is introduced into the workplace, it must also undergo a task and risk analysis, and employees must be trained to use it properly.
