Flammable Atmosphere
An atmosphere that is flammable, or capable of causing an explosion, can be caused by flammable and combustible liquids, vapors, gases, or dust. Combustible gases or vapors can accumulate when there is inadequate ventilation. Using flammable solvents for cleaning, welding, and cutting are all activities that can cause the formation of an explosive atmosphere.
For an atmosphere to become flammable, there must be fuel, oxygen, and an ignition source present.
