Aerial Lift Hydraulic and Pneumatic Components

All hydraulic and pneumatic components must meet a bursting safety factor. A minimum bursting strength of four times the operating pressure that the system is designed for must apply to all critical components and hoses of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. A critical component is defined as any component in which failure would result in a free fall or free rotation of the boom. A minimum bursting strength of two times the operating pressure that the system is designed for must apply to all noncritical components.
