Aerial Lift Operator's Manual
Manufacturers put safety messages and warnings on equipment and operator's manuals. It is important to read, understand, and follow all safety messages:
- Caution safety messages mean that you need to be careful. If you do not follow the directions, you could get hurt.
- Warning safety messages are more serious. They mean that if you do not follow the directions, you could be badly hurt or killed.
- Danger safety messages are the most serious. They mean that if you do not follow the directions, you will be seriously injured or killed.
Markings and decals must be placed in a clearly visible, accessible area of the equipment.
Before operating any lift, you must read the operator's manual to become familiar with the particular lift you will be operating. All operators are expected to observe and follow all warning decals posted on the vehicle.
The operator's manual and equipment decals will warn you of the location of all the aerial boom lift's crush points.
