Aerial Lifts Responsibilities

Proper maintenance is vitally important to the safe use of aerial boom lifts. Therefore, facility managers, business managers, or equipment owners should ensure that all aerial boom lift equipment is regularly inspected and that a maintenance schedule is established and followed. The equipment must continue to meet or exceed the manufacturer's specifications for safe operation.

Additionally facility owners and managers are responsible for complying with any state regulations in addition to OSHA regulations and ANSI standards. facility owner or manager responsibilities may include:

• Verifying that all employees who operate or work near aerial boom lifts are properly trained
