Confined Space Hot Work Safety Practices

General welding safe work practices include the following:

Attach a lifeline to the authorized entrant who is welding in a confined space.
As an attendant, maintain vigilance of the entrant throughout the welding process.
Do not take a gas cylinder into a confined space.
When not in use, remove electrodes from equipments.
Ventilation within confined spaces must keep toxins below the PEL.
