IATA Class 2 Exemptions
Gases in Division 2.2 are exempted from these regulations if they are transported at a pressure less than 200 kPa at 20° C (68° F) and are not liquefied or refrigerated liquefied gases. In addition, Division 2.2 gases are exempt in the following goods:
- Food items, including carbonated beverages (except for UN1950, aerosols)
- Balls intended for sports use
- Tires that meet Special Provision A59 (deflated tires)
- Light bulbs, as long as they are packaged to prevent projectile effects in the event of a rupture
This exemption does not apply to lamps.
