IATA Class 3 Primary Hazards
Class 3 substances may present fire or explosion hazards due to the following risks:
- May be easily ignited by heat, sparks, or flames
- Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air
- Vapors may travel to the source of ignition and then flash back
- Containers may explode when heated
- Inhalation or contact with skin may cause irritation or burning
- May produce irritating, corrosive, or toxic gases
- Vapors may cause dizziness or suffocation
- May cause toxic effects if inhaled or absorbed through the skin
