IATA Class 6 Packing Instructions Biomedical Waste
Biomedical waste must follow Packing Instruction 622. These consignments must be packed in one of the outer packagings listed in Packing Instruction 622, all of which meet the Packing Group II performance standards. The biomedical waste substances must be packed so that they arrive in good condition. Any packagings containing sharp objects, such as needles and broken glass, must be transported in packaging resistant to punctures and leakage.
