IATA Class 7 Marking Type A, B, and C Packages
Type A packages must be marked with the following:
- The words "TYPE B(U)" or "TYPE B(M)," as appropriate
- VRI code of the country of origin and design
- Name of the manufacturer or other packaging identification specified by the competent authority
Type B packages must be marked with the following:
- The words "TYPE A"
- Identification mark allocated to the design by the competent authority
- Serial number
- Trefoil symbol
Type C packages must be marked with the following:
- The words "TYPE C"
- Identification mark allocated to the design by the competent authority
- Serial number
- Trefoil symbol
