IATA Class 8 Excepted and Limited Quantities

Class 8 dangerous goods in Packing Groups II and III may be transported under the excepted quantity provision, with the exception of the following substances:

  • UN1774, fire extinguisher charges
  • UN2794, batteries, wet, filled with acid
  • UN2795, batteries, wet, filled with alkali
  • UN2800, batteries, wet, non-fillable
  • UN2803, gallium
  • UN2809, mercury
  • UN3028, batteries, dry, containing potassium hydroxide, solid
  • UN3477, fuel cell cartridges
  • UN3506, mercury contained in manufactured articles

Class 8 dangerous goods in Packing Groups II and III may be transported under the limited quantity provision, with the exception of the following substances:

  • UN2794, batteries, wet, filled with acid
  • UN2795, batteries, wet, filled with alkali
  • UN2803, gallium
  • UN2809, mercury
  • UN3028, batteries, dry, containing potassium hydroxide, solid
  • UN3506, mercury contained in manufactured articles
