IATA Document Retention
The operator must ensure that at least one copy of the documents related to air transport of dangerous goods consignments is retained for a minimum of three months, or a period of time specified by the appropriate State authority. The documents that must be maintained include:
- Shipper's Declaration of Dangerous Goods
- Acceptance Checklist (if it requires physical completion)
- This must include identification of the person who performed the acceptance check.
- Written information provided to the pilot-in-command
- Any other applicable transport documents
If the documents are kept electronically, they must be capable of being printed.
