Respirator Follow-Up Medical Examination
If any employee checks "yes" to any question in Part A Section 2, of Appendix C (questions 1 through 8), the employer must provide a follow-up medical examination.
A follow-up exam is also required for any employee "whose initial medical examination demonstrates the need for a follow-up medical examination." OSHA does not specify what this means, but employers should use common sense and determine when a follow-up is necessary.
