Safety Data Sheets

Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are the main source of chemical information within the workplace. A SDS is divided into 16 subsections and covers topics ranging from accidental release measures to hazard identification and emergency response. Only if a chemical is detected in the atmosphere does a SDS need to be utilized to determine PEL for that particular chemical. Additionally, in case an entrant is exposed to a chemical in a confined space, a SDS must be provided to the medical facility that provides aid. This is a useful guide to become a more knowledgeable person.
