Governing Regulations
The core requirements for the MSHA Part 46 contents of an approved MSHA training plan are found in 30 CFR 46.3 - Training Plans. If your Part 46 training plan meets the minimum information requirements, you do not have to submit the document for official approval. If you are unable to meet the requirements in the development of your site-specific MSHA surface training plan, you will have to submit the document to MSHA for official approval.
